Giving to the Givers (Full Speed Ahead blog)

Longmont has a lot of good people helping make it better. That especially includes the non-profit groups who give a lot to help the community out, whether it’s by providing a helping hand in an emergency, a touch of creativity to lift the spirit, or a hundred other open-hearted actions that make a difference.

So this year, to celebrate NextLight’s 10th birthday, we decided to help make a difference for them.

If you came to the birthday party on Friday (and it felt like half of Longmont did!), then you know what we’re talking about. That’s when NextLight unveiled a new 10% discount for non-profit customers. That includes both internet and telephone, along with waiving any added taxes on the phone service (except for two federally required ones).

How do you qualify? Just reach out to our NextLight business team, let them know about your group’s non-profit status and provide supporting information, such as any articles of incorporation. We’ll do the rest.

And as a reminder – if you’re a NextLight residential customer who’s receiving help, we also have a discount for you. Our Internet Assistance Program offers a $25 per month discount on internet service for income-qualified households, such as free or reduced lunch participants, Head Start families, Section 8 recipients and more. Check out the details on our IAP webpage.

Ten years ago, NextLight got its start because people wanted a better-connected Longmont. But connection doesn’t just mean reliable fiber optics with amazing speed. It also means a community that’s tied together and always works to strengthen itself.

We’re proud to be part of that connection, too. And to help the others who are forging those connections, one helping hand at a time.

Those efforts are truly a gift beyond measure.
