Help Count the Homeless in Boulder County
The Cities of Boulder and Longmont, along with Boulder County, are recruiting volunteers to administer the annual Point-in-Time Homeless Survey (PIT) in the community. Bridge House, a local nonprofit serving homeless and low-income people, is coordinating community organization and volunteer participation countywide, on behalf of the county and cities.
The PIT survey is conducted locally, statewide and nationally each year, to identify the scope and nature of homelessness in our communities. The survey takes place on the night of Monday, Jan. 26, and during daytime hours Tuesday, Jan. 27 through Friday, Jan. 30.
Volunteers (both English- and Spanish-speaking) are needed to administer the survey. Volunteers work in teams and in various locations throughout the county for two-hour shifts. Training will be provided.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact: Scott Medina, Boulder County Coordinator, Scott@BoulderBridgeHouse.org or register to volunteer directly at www.mdhi.org.
