Hitting High Gear

Lines of binary figures next to highwayThe FCC is feeling the need for speed. Or at least, what it calls speed … and what our NextLight customers call “intro-level.”

You see, on March 14, the Federal Communications Commission will decide whether to redefine broadband internet as having at least 100-megabit downloads. Which is also the same speed that has been NextLight’s minimum residential speed offering since 2020. In fact, NextLight homes have been getting an even better deal, since the minimum upload speed is also 100 megabits and many, many customers go far, far faster than that.

And that becomes especially clear when they take the PC Magazine speed test.

Each year around this time, the annual reminder goes out to take the test, which PC Mag uses to help compare and contrast internet providers. To be honest, it usually doesn’t take much of a reminder. After all, Longmont is Colorado’s first “Gig City,” with NextLight’s gigabit speeds available citywide. And with so many residents and businesses taking advantage of that – and being eager to show off the connection that powers their school, work and recreation – it’s no wonder that NextLight has been repeatedly recognized among the fastest providers in the nation.

Well, it’s time to take the test again. In fact, there’s two chances to brag – namely by also signing up for and filling out a PC Mag Readers’ Choice survey to show what you appreciate most about having NextLight as your internet provider.  In 2023, your awesome support even got NextLight named as the top home and business provider in the country … proof that a strong community matters.

So go for it. Take the speed test. Then sign up for the survey. Show the rest of the country what you can do with NextLight.

They might just start to realize what life in the fast lane is really like.
