A new survey found that most internet customers see their price go up after they sign up for service. Not exactly shocking, right?
Even less surprising: NextLight customers aren’t “most internet customers.”
According to the survey by U.S. News & World Report, an U.S. internet customer typically paid an average of $77/month for service when they first signed up and has since seen it rise to $89/month, a 16% price increase. More than a third of respondents said they’ve had to cut expenses elsewhere to pay their monthly internet bill.
Meanwhile, NextLight customers have the same rates for internet service they had in 2023. And in 2022. And in … well, you get the idea. After all, when price is one of the biggest barriers to accessing the internet, it’s important that a community-owned service stay available to everyone.
In fact, there’s a lot of opportunity to bring that monthly rate down. New customers can try out NextLight’s gig connection free for one month. Households that need some help can get a $25/month discount through our Internet Assistance Program. And any customer can get $50 off their next month’s bill by sending a friend to us who then signs up.
Look over the possibilities. And enjoy the quality service and steady cost that most internet customers don’t get.
But then, you aren’t “most internet customers.”
With NextLight, you’re a neighbor. And this network is all about you.
