Free Workshop on Information Navigation

In today’s info-rich world, it’s more important than ever to be able to assess the credibility of the news, social media, and online content we encounter. Join Longmont librarians on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 6-7 pm for a FREE workshop where you will learn practical tips for evaluating the truthfulness of information—from news reports to word-of-mouth shared by friends and family.

During this event, you will learn techniques to assess the reliability of news sources, identify common misinformation tactics, and be guided to make smarter decisions when faced with new information. Librarians will also introduce and teach you to use free and valuable Library resources so you can verify facts and build confidence in distinguishing between fact and fiction.

Whether you are looking to make informed decisions, stay up-to-date on current events, or simply navigate the digital landscape with more clarity, this workshop will equip you with the tools you need to become a more discerning and empowered media consumer.

Take control of the information you encounter. Join us for this informative session and learn how to sail the sea of information with confidence!
