The City of Longmont launched Engage Longmont, an exciting new online tool, to increase communication between residents and local government. Residents can weigh in on plans for Main Street, how best to care for Button Rock Preserve, what signage and wayfinding is needed and how it should look, active transportation options, the future of public access programming, wildlife management plans, and even find out what’s true and what’s not about Longmont in a Q&A forum called “What the Fact?!”

Engage Longmont is powered by a software platform called Bang the Table, designed to drive digital engagement and empower community discussion and debate.

“Longmont has a standing commitment to these values,” Longmont Mayor Brian Bagley said. “We are excited to implement a tool that makes it easy and quick for any member of the community to share their best ideas and feedback, at their convenience and whenever their schedule allows.”

With an attractive home page, Engage Longmont is easy to navigate with all of the community topics front and center. Just click on a topic of interest and fill out a survey, register an opinion, or ask a question. This new tool allows City staff and elected officials to listen directly to public opinion as they create policies and provide services that are important to the community.
