Visitors? What a strange and wonderful word.

For several months now, most of us have been part of the nationwide sport called The Doorbell Dash. The players follow simple rules: leave something on your doorstep, ring the bell and run. If they make it back to their vehicle before you open the door, they win. (So do you, come to think of it.)

It’s been odd but necessary. It’s why Efficiency Works went virtual during the pandemic, giving you one less visit and a lot more reassurance. But as pandemic restrictions ease and the doorstep is no longer a highway to the danger zone … well, stopping by has become a lot more feasible for those who want it.

That’s why Efficiency Works is bringing back:

1. In-home visits for energy assessments, to find opportunities for improvements that will save you energy and money
2. In-home pickups for our refrigerator and freezer recycling program, saving you the effort of getting your old fridge to the curb

We know that not everyone’s ready for this yet and that’s OK. If you’re more comfortable keeping everything at a distance, we’ll continue to do curbside refrigerator and freezer pickups and virtual energy advising as well, where we never have to cross your threshold. But if you’d like to see a face that isn’t surrounded by a Zoom box and don’t mind having folks over, we’re glad to come to your home. (And yes, our folks will comply with the health guidelines currently in place, and also coordinate with you on any safety requirements you may have for your own home.)
