Teach Swim Lessons
Water Safety Instructor Training – ages 16 & upPre-Requisite: Ability to swim 6 strokes – front and back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke.
Learn the techniques and skills necessary to become American Red Cross certified to teach swim lessons.
Class Dates & Times:
May 31–June 3, Tue-Fri, 10am-7pm, at Centennial Pool, 1201 Alpine St, Longmont
Longmont Swim Instructor (LSI) Training- ages 15 & up
Pre-Requisite: Ability to swim all 4 competitive strokes
(freestyle, backstroke, breast-stroke, and butterfly) proficiently at least 15 yards by last class day and must submit job
application by last day of class.
Become certified to teach City of Longmont swim lessons (preschool classes) to youth ages 2.5 to 5yrs.

June 6– 9, Mon-Thurs, 8:30–11:30am, at Centennial Pool, 1201 Alpine St, Longmont
Lifeguard
Lifeguard Training – ages 15 & upPre-Requisite: Must swim 300 yards without stopping (not timed); half Front Crawl and half Breaststroke.
Learn the basics of American Red Cross lifeguard skills and practices. First Aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer are included.
Class Dates & Times:
June 14, Tue, 3-5pm; June 15-17, Wed-Fri, 1-7pm; Jun 18, Sat, 9-5pm, at Sunset Pool, 1900 Longs Peak Ave, Longmont.
