Late Night Altercation Results in Fatality

On March 29, 2024, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Longmont Police responded to two individuals engaged in a verbal and physical altercation in front of 321 Main Street. The two males had just left the Speakeasy Bar and Venue at 301 Main St., Longmont. 

During the altercation, one of the individuals was shot. The shooter promptly called 911 and remained on the scene until police arrived. One of the males succumbed to his injuries in the 300 block of Main Street as a result of the shooting.  

As of this morning, no arrests have been made, the shooting is under investigation, and there is no threat to the community.

The Boulder County DA’s and Boulder County Coroner’s offices responded to the incident.

Any patron in the Speakeasy between 9:00 p.m. on March 28 and 12:30 a.m. on March 29 who has yet to speak with police is asked to contact Longmont Detective Jon High at 303-651-8584.
