Lifeguards’ Fast Action Saves a Life at Centennial Pool
Lifeguards’ Fast Action Saves a Life at Centennial Pool
Last October, a routine morning swim at Centennial Pool turned into a life-or-death emergency when a guest collapsed in the locker room. Lifeguards on duty sprang into action, using their training to revive the man before paramedics arrived.
The Longmont resident, Steve Crall, has fully recovered and returned to his regular swim schedule. Not long after the incident, he visited the pool to personally thank the lifeguards who helped save his life.
“It was a very scary experience and I’m glad I’m still here to tell the story,” said Crall. “I’ll be forever grateful for the lifeguards who responded so quickly and confidently – helping me when I needed it the most.”
