Longmont electric vehicle chargers back in service

Four of five EV charging sites available; museum site waiting on construction

Electric vehicle drivers can once again use the City of Longmont’s public EV charging stations. Workers have finished replacing equipment at four of the five sites, which are now ready for service.

Drivers can now use the following charging stations:

  • The Development Services Center, 385 Kimbark St.
  • The Longmont Library, 360 Kimbark St.
  • The Longmont Service Center, 1100 South Sherman St.
  • The St. Vrain Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Ave.

As before, the stations are available 24 hours per day at a cost of $1 per hour. The charging station at the Longmont Museum remains unavailable due to ongoing construction in the museum’s parking lot.

Drivers can access the new chargers through the EVGateway app, available at https://evgateway.net/ev-drivers.php

The City originally took the charging stations out of service Sept. 17 to install new ABB equipment, which is expected to make the sites easier to maintain.

Information about the City’s charging stations can be found online at bit.ly/LongmontEVChargers.
