Since the COVID-19 outbreak firefighters, police officers, dispatchers and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workers throughout the U.S. are reading children’s books through online videos in a movement called #BooksandBadges.

Longmont Firefighter Ethan Unwin is reading “No Dragons for Tea” by Jean E. Pendziwol.

Following his reading, Unwin talks about smoke alarms, crawling low to escape a fire, making a meeting spot, not going back into a burning building, calling 9-1-1 and other tips to get you and your family safely out of a burning building.
