Longmont’s Fall Leaf Collection Begins Oct. 28
Longmont’s Fall Leaf Collection Begins Oct. 28
The City of Longmont’s annual Fall Leaf Collection begins Monday, Oct. 28 for residences located north of 9th Avenue. This free curbside collection is offered to Longmont residents to collect bagged leaves each fall. Leaves for residences located south of 9th Avenue will be collected the week of Nov. 4 – 8.
Please remember that all bags must be out before 7 a.m. on the Monday of your scheduled collection week and should be left out the entire week until collected. Leaves must be placed in bags in order to be picked up. You can pick up paper collection bags from the Longmont Recycling Center at no charge, while supplies last.
Only one pass will be made through each neighborhood, so be sure to have your leaves out and ready to be picked up. Any leaf bags put out after City staff pass through your neighborhood will not be collected by the City and will be the responsibility of the homeowner.
Visit the Fall Leaf Collection webpage to see the schedule, map and more guidelines for this free service.
If leaves continue to fall from your trees after these dates, you can drop off your leaves at the Longmont Recycling Center all year long (no need to wait for the City to pick them up!)
You can also add leaves to your composting cart for curbside collections at any time. Please place them loosely into the composting carts (no bags, please!)
