LPC: Win $250 of NextLight service in video contest

LONGMONT, CO – A new video contest by Longmont Power & Communications asks residents to show what life at NextLight speed means to them and their community.

The first-place winner will receive $250 worth of NextLight’s gigabit residential service. Second place will receive $100 worth of NextLight service and third place $50 of service.

Entries may be live-action or animated and should be submitted in one of two categories:

* “What does the speed of NextLight mean for me?”

* “What does the speed of NextLight mean for Longmont?”

The entries must be three minutes or less and should be “family friendly,” LPC spokesman Scott Rochat said.

“Have fun, but make sure it’s something you could show off to your grandparents when you’re finished,” Rochat said.

All entries are due May 31 and may be displayed on the city’s YouTube channel and at www.longmontcolorado.gov/nextlight. Winners will be announced June 5 at the opening of the Longmont Downtown Summer Concert Series, sponsored in part by Longmont Power & Communications.

Submissions may be made by email to lpc@longmontcolorado.gov or through the Longmont Power & Communications-NextLight Facebook page. All entries become the property of LPC and may be reused.

There is no entry fee.
