New Traffic Signal at Coffman Street and 2nd AvenueGoes Live March 10

The City of Longmont will activate the new traffic signal at Coffman Street and 2nd Avenue on Tuesday, March 10. The signal was installed as part of the Coffman Street Mobility Improvements project to enhance safety and improve traffic operations at the intersection.

Construction on the signal began February 12 and included installation of signal poles, overhead wiring and related equipment.

Once operational, the signal will provide controlled movements for vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists traveling through the intersection. Drivers are reminded to watch for new signal timing and pedestrian crossings when traveling through the area.

Questions or concerns regarding the project should be directed to the project hotline at 720-432-7058 or CoffmanStreetMobility@longmontcolorado.gov.
