Overnight Shooting In Southeast Longmont

On July 23, 2017, at approximately 2:57 a.m. members of the Longmont Police Department (LPD) responded to a possible shooting in the north parking lot of Walmart, 2285 East Ken Pratt Blvd., Longmont, CO. As a result of our investigation, we have identified Joseph Anderson as the person responsible for the shooting and murder.

Joseph Anderson (12/24/82) is wanted for murder. LPD has obtained an arrest warrant for his arrest out of Weld County. Anderson is armed and was last seen driving a black Nissan Murano convertible with a tan or white convertible top, bearing Colorado license DBQ-998. Anderson has ties to Littleton and Loveland. If you see him, please call 911 immediately.

UPDATE: 7/23/17 AT 5:53 PM – Thanks to a citizen who observed one of the newscasts, Westminster PD has recovered the suspect’s Nissan Murano in the vicinity of 120th Ave and Sheridan Blvd. The car was found around 3:45 PM.  We have impounded the car and returned it to Longmont.  If Joseph Anderson is observed, please do not approach and call 911 immediately.
