The Longmont Department of Public Safety, Police Explorer program is now accepting applications from young adults 14-20 years old with an interest in pursuing a career in policing. Longmont Police provides up-to-date training on police topics such as crime scene processing, accident investigation, high risk traffic stops, arrest procedures and much more!

Explorers participate in community service projects such as crowd control, parades, traffic control and special events. Longmont Police
Explorers attend competitions throughout Colorado and the western United States. These events provide the opportunity to meet and
learn from other Explorer posts.
