14th Annual Longmont Kids Only Triathlon | Saturday, June 2
Has your child expressed an interest in participating in a Triathlon? The Longmont Kids’ Only Triathlon is geared for all abilities of youth; from beginner, to recreational, to competitive.
Our race course is divided into three distances for three age groups. The swim is in a pool, with two kids per lane, the bike course takes place on neighboring streets, heavily staffed with caring volunteers, and the run course is on a bike path, for easy cheering.
Awards are given to the top 3 of each age, and EVERYONE who crosses the finish line receives a medal, just for trying!
Race Distances vary by age groups:
- 6-10 yrs: 100 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 0.6 mile run
- 11-12 yrs: 200 yard swim, 6 mile bike, 1.2 mile run
- 13-17 yrs: 400 yard swim, 6 mile bike, 2 mile run
Longmont Try-a-Tri | Saturday, June 2
Are you new to the sport of Triathlon, recovering from injuries, just getting into shape, learning how to swim, bike, and run (all together or learning a new skill), and a full sprint distance triathlon would be a bit too much? If so, the Longmont Try-a-Tri (super-sprint triathlon distance) is the right Triathlon for you to take on!
The Longmont Try-a-Tri is not about what place you finish in, it is about having fun while finishing a TRIATHLON!
Race Distances:
- Swim: 200 yards indoor pool swim
- Bike: 4.5 miles (3x around bike course)
- Run: 2K (1.2 miles) an out & back course
