Public Notice – Proposed changes to the CDBG FY 2020 One Year Action Plan

The City of Longmont, as a grant recipient of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, will hold a public hearing in order to obtain citizen views and comments on the following proposed changes to its FY 2020 One Year Action Plan (part of the Consolidated Plan):
  • The City is allocating $408,977 from its second round of CARES Act CDBG-CV funding.Added to the current CDBG-CV funding this brings the total CDBG-CV funding to $768,364.
  • The City is reallocating already approved first round CARES Act CDBG-CV funding ($359,387) and repurposed 2020 CDBG funding ($330,128) for Covid relief activities.
  • The City is adjusting its 2020 CDBG funding to reduce it by $94 (from $610,926 to $610,832) per latest update of funding award from HUD.

Because the city is considering adding the Aspen Meadows Relocation Project not already approved as part of the 2020 Action Plan, there is a requirement that the public be notified and allowed the opportunity to comment on all of these proposed changes. Today starts the beginning of the required 5 day comment period.
