Reaching Out, Reaching Back

Four hands clasping each otherNextLight customers are awesome.

OK, you knew that. But here’s some context.

As we mentioned in an earlier piece, the federal government recently ended its Affordable Connectivity Program, the discount on monthly internet service for households in need. That raised concerns across the country, since 68% of ACP customers across the country had either bad internet or NO internet before the program existed … meaning there was a very real possibility that many would drop their no-longer affordable service.

That’s why we offered our own Internet Assistance Program to help by providing a NextLight-funded discount. And customers responded. Rather than see the numbers go down, we’re seeing slightly more NextLight customers getting helped than before.

That’s trust.

NextLight’s greatest strength has always been its customers, the very people that created community-owned internet. And in a time of need, a community takes care of its own. After all, residents should be thinking about all the awesome things they can do with their NextLight connection – not worrying about how to scrape together the next month’s bills.

If you know someone who could qualify for a $25/month discount on their NextLight bill, send them to our assistance program web page or have them call our customer service team at 303-774-4494. (And don’t forget, if they’re brand-new NextLight customers, you could also get a $50 referral credit of your own.) We’ll be glad to help.

After all, NextLight customers are awesome.

And anyone who didn’t know that before sure does now.
