Reading Into It
Reading Into It
Confession time: I’m a reference book geek.
Blame my parents. They’re the ones who had the huge unabridged dictionary in the living room. And who bought an old encyclopedia at a library book sale during the dollar-a-box endgame. And who got me the World Almanac every year for Christmas, guaranteed to keep me poring over nations and awards and offbeat news for hours. Maybe days.
Needless to say, I got a head start in learning how to dig for facts. And I soon learned that the useful information was often quite close at hand – if you knew how to look for it.
That’s still true. And when it comes to your utility bill, knowing how to look can be very helpful indeed.
On Sept. 3, we’ll be hosting a virtual panel workshop for Longmont businesses called “How to Read My Utility Bills.” It’ll go over the details of the gas, electric, water, wastewater and NextLight bills so that companies and organizations can get a better handle on what they’re spending and why. We’ll even have tips on how to lower your utility costs and improve your efficiency.
If that sounds like something you want to plug into, make sure to RSVP so that you can receive the link to the online event. It’ll run from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Make sure your computer has a camera and a microphone so that you can ask questions and take part in the discussions – we want to hear from you, too!
A little information goes a long way. And by the time everything’s done, you should have a few more tools to help your business save.
That speaks volumes.
