Registration Opens February 4 for City of Longmont Summer Day Camps

It’s not too early for families to start planning for summer fun and trusted childcare. Registration for City of Longmont Summer Day Camps opens at 7 am on Wednesday, Feb 4. Longmont Recreation offers a variety of summer camp options for a variety of ages and interests, including a brand-new outdoor camp experience.

Registration information and camp details are available at longmontcolorado.gov/summerdaycamp or by calling 303-651-8404.

Longmont’s Summer Day Camps provide safe, active, and enriching experiences for children throughout the summer months:

  • Camp Memorial – A classic, activity-packed summer camp for children ages 5–10, held at the Memorial Building at Roosevelt Park (700 Longs Peak Ave). Campers enjoy swimming twice a week, indoor and outdoor games, crafts and field trips to local parks and attractions.
  • New! Camp Discovery – Designed for ages 7–11, this new outdoor,  nature-based camp invites kids to explore, play and connect with the natural world. Camp Discovery features hands-on learning and field trips centered around outdoor exploration at Willow Farm Park (901 S Fordham St).
  • Expedition Tween – Created for ages 11–12, this exploration-focused camp offers field trips and adventures tailored to tweens looking for independence, challenge and fun.

“Families are always looking for safe, summer programs that match their kids’ interests and energy levels,” said Kristen Rudisill, Recreation Program Supervisor. “With our traditional Camp Memorial, the new Camp Discovery outdoor experience and Expedition Tween, we have flexible, high-quality options that help kids stay active, curious and connected all summer long.”

Space is limited so families are encouraged to be prepared to register at 7 am on Wednesday, Feb 4.

  • Registration for Camp Memorial & Camp Discovery is a two-step process. First children must be enrolled in the Registration Activity (346700) which will then allow for step two, enrolling children into weeks or days of camp (346701, or 346704).
  • The registration fee is $50 per family, not per camper.
  • Expedition Tween camp does not require the activity 346700 prerequisite.
