Rhythm at Roosevelt to Transition into Two-Day Festival on July 3 and 4, 2026
After 30 years of bringing live music and community fun to Roger’s Grove and Roosevelt Park, the City of Longmont announced today that Rhythm at Roosevelt will be replaced with a new two-day Independence Day festival beginning in 2026.
The 2026 event will take place on July 3 and 4, blending Longmont’s signature mix of live entertainment, food and family activities with Independence Day traditions. The first evening will feature a concert, while July 4 will include a free community celebration capped with fireworks and a drone show. Both evenings will showcase local food and beverage vendors.
“This new festival builds on the legacy of Rhythm festivals while giving Longmont the chance to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday in a bigger way,” said Jeff Friesner, senior director of community enrichment. “It’s about honoring the community spirit that has always made Rhythm special, while adding new traditions that bring people together for the holiday.”
Rhythm at Roosevelt concluded with the September 6, 2025 festival, paving the way for the new format starting next summer. Details on the festival name, performers, locations and schedules will be announced in the spring of 2026.
