A new parking garage is under construction at the City of Longmont’s Safety and Justice Center at 225 Kimbark Street. The two-story garage, created in partnership between the City of Longmont and the Longmont Downtown Development Association (LDDA), will replace the current northwest parking lot in front of the building. When finished, parking spaces will increase from 45 to 87, providing public parking for both the Center and the downtown area. Construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2026.
Parking Limited During ConstructionÂ
Multiple construction projects are happening at and around the Safety and Justice Center resulting in limited parking. If you have a court date or other business at the Safety and Justice Center plan to arrive early, allowing extra time for parking and walking to the building, and please consider taking alternative forms of transportation.
Parking Options
Additional ADA accessible parking spaces will be available in the Safety and Justice Center East Parking Lot, located directly east of the building, along Emery Street, south of 3rd Avenue. During peak Longmont Municipal Court times on Tuesday mornings, a Via Mobility shuttle will be continuously transporting individuals from the East Parking Lot to the Safety and Justice Center’s northwest entrance.

A map of additional public parking options in the area can be found on the LDDA website at downtownlongmont.com/explore/parking. There is also limited on-street parking in the surrounding areas.
