Senior Center Hosts Ageism Discussion for All Ages
Ageism Through the Ages Discussion
The senior Center is proud to partner with local Grey Havens Philosophy for an ageism discussion for all ages. Ageism simply means prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age. What are some of those prejudices? Why do they exist, and how can we overcome them? Join the young adults of Grey Havens Philosophy for a thoughtful conversation about mis-perceptions we have of each other. All generations welcome.
This program will give us an opportunity to share our own experiences of ageism and challenge aging stereotypes. If you’d like to share your experience ahead of time, please email Brandy at brandy.queen@longmontcolorado.gov. Presented by Senior Services staff Brandy Queen and Grey Havens Philosophy Facilitator Robyn Bosica.
Date: Saturday, October 2
Time: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Location: Longmont Senior Center
This program is FREE. Call 303-651-8411 or register online to reserve your spot. Masks are required.
