Senior Center offers help to create online utility accounts, set up autopay
In-person assistance available through Sept. 18
LONGMONT, CO – Need help creating an online account for your utility bills? Do you need to re-establish your automatic payments? Volunteers from the Longmont Senior Center are offering free in-person assistance starting Thursday and running through Sept. 18.
The volunteers will help participants get set up on the City’s new online utility payment portal at MyUtilityAccount.longmontcolorado.gov, which launched in late August. Utility customers who had an online account on the old website or who had their accounts set up for automatic payment will need to create a new account on this portal.
“Some people do better with a little personal guidance, especially if it’s been a long time since their previous online account or autopayment was set up,” said Sandra Seader, assistant city manager. “I am so grateful that the volunteers at the Senior Center are willing to help keep the process clear and simple so that our customers can keep access to the services they need.”
All of the assistance sessions will be at the Longmont Senior Center. Sessions will be held:
- Sept. 5: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room D/E
- Sept. 6: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room D/E
- Sept. 10: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in room D/E
- Sept. 12: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room D/E
- Sept. 17: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in room E
- Sept. 18: 10 a.m. to noon in room A
Participants will need to bring:
- The account number on your utility bill. If you do not have this, please call Utility Billing at 303-651-8664 for assistance.
- The address of your email account and its password. If you do not have an email account, the volunteers will help you set one up.
- The payment method you will be using on your utility account – either your debit or credit card, or the routing and account numbers for your checking account.
For more information, call Utility Billing at 303-651-8664.
