The City of Longmont  Presents Winter Events and Programs that are “Certified Cozy”

The City of Longmont has launched the “Certified Cozy” marketing campaign to highlight cozy winter activities offered by City departments and partners.

One great way to offset the coldest and shortest days of the year is to find ways to get cozy. Of course everyone’s idea of what’s cozy is different. Some might think of a parade, ice skating, or strolling under holiday lights; while others prefer indoor cocoa and crafts. Whatever works for you, you can find options on the Cozy Calendar at longmontcolorado.gov/cozy.

“Longmont offers so many terrific seasonal and winter holiday activities it can be tough to keep track of them all,” said Sr. Communications and Marketing Manager Jill Lis. “We’ve made it easy for folks to find lots of options by creating the Cozy Calendar. From visits with Santa and reading clubs to Costume Crawls and holiday shows, there’s something for everyone.”

For some, cozy means shopping for a scarf or a sweater, perhaps to be given as a holiday gift. Shopping in Longmont is cozy, too. The campaign was created in partnership with the Longmont Downtown Development Association (LDDA), sponsors of “Holiday Central” – promoting downtown activities, events and businesses.

“With most of our street work completed, and additional parking available at the Spoke (518 Coffman Street), it’s easier than ever to come downtown and enjoy a wide range of activities and shopping,” added LDDA Executive Director Kimberlee McKee. “We look forward to seeing you downtown during the cozy season.”
