From Peaks to Sea

Did you know that Colorado’s waters are an important part of rivers nationwide? Rivers like the Colorado and Rio Grande start here and flow across many states, bringing water to farms, cities, and wildlife along the way. Water is a limited resource, and we all play a part in protecting it! Learn how you can help save water for future generations at bit.ly/Water-Matters.

Earth Day in Longmont

You’re invited to the free, family-friendly, Longmont Earth Day celebration on April 19th, 10am-2pm, at Timberline PK-8-School. Watch performances by Jeff and Paige, My Nature Lab, dance shows and more! There will also be activities, food trucks, a clothing swap and lots more!

Stay Safe, Call Before You Dig

Spring is a popular time to dig into yard work and construction projects, but if you are not careful, you could dig right into a utility line. Colorado law requires you to call 811 at least three business days before any excavation work is done so all utilities in the area can be notified and mark their lines with paint or flags. Breaking a utility line can be expensive and even dangerous for services like power or gas lines. For more information, go online to bit.ly/DigSafeLongmont.
