All Park & Trail Restrooms Open by April 11
Many park restrooms close for the winter to prevent damage to the above-ground plumbing and reopen in the spring. Each year, the second Monday in April (April 11 this year) marks the date that ALL restrooms are once again open from 5 am to 11 pm daily. You can see more detailed information on park restroom availability at bit.ly/park-restrooms. Once open, restrooms are cleaned and restocked once per day, seven days a week. If you see a problem with a park or greenway public restroom facility, please call (303) 651-8416 or report it online at ServiceWorks.LongmontColorado.gov. To make a park shelter reservation, call 303-651-8404 or online at https://rec.ci.longmont.co.us.

Click It or Ticket Campaign Runs Through April 20

The Colorado Department of Transportation, the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and 33 local law enforcement agencies throughout the state have begun the first Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement period of 2022. Longmont Police are participating in this program. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, seat belts reduce the risk of injury or death in a crash by 50%. Without a seat belt fastened, people can be ejected from a vehicle and killed. The Click It or Ticket heightened enforcement campaign will run through April 20.
