Free Community Night: HawkQuest – Owls
Bring your picnic, chairs and blankets to enjoy the scenery, lawn games and coloring table from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Tuesday, August 20, at the Sandstone Ranch Visitors & Learning Center, 3001 Sandstone Drive. The main event, HawkQuest – Owls of the World, begins at 6:30 pm and features live owls from five continents. Volunteer Fair at the Library
Head to the Library at 409 4th Avenue between 10 am and noon on Saturday, August 17, to learn how you can change the world by volunteering in our community. The Volunteer Fair for adults and teens showcases local nonprofits and volunteer groups. Find out what they do and how you can help. Register Now for Birds Beyond Borders
Children and their families are invited to learn about birds that travel between wintering grounds in Mexico and Central and South America to nesting places in the U.S. in this bilingual program from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, August 24, at the Longmont Library, 409 4th Avenue. Recreation Facility Closures
