Holiday schedules for City facilities
Most City facilities will be closed Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Trash, recycling and compost will be collected one day later throughout the week. Recreation facilities will be open on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 Find schedules at longmontcolorado.gov/holidays.

New Year’s Day Zumba® Dance Party
Join Recreation Services from 1-2:30 pm on Sunday, Jan 1, 2023, for a New Year Zumba® dance party at the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road! Doors open at 12:45 pm. All ages are welcome; however, children must be supervised. $10/person, passes not valid for this special event. The Longmont Recreation Center is otherwise closed for the holiday. Final weeks for “Tipi to Tiny House” exhibit
The Longmont Museum’s current hands-on exhibit is perfect for holiday visitors and school breaks. In this family-friendly and interactive exhibit, visitors will explore and even build different types of homes found throughout Colorado’s history including a tiny house, log cabin, shepherd’s wagon, tipi and even a pillow fort! The exhibit is open through Sunday, Jan. 8. Learn more at longmontmuseum.org or call 303-651-8374.

FREE Longmont Rec Center Open House
On Saturday, Jan. 7, the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road, will host a free open house from 1–5 pm. Visitors of all ages are invited to explore the Recreation Center. Join the fun and swim, play gym sports, jog, use the weight room or sauna, and check out the many demo and sample classes. For more details visit longmontcolorado.gov/rec or call 303-774-4800.

Wintertime BINGO at the Library
Don’t let the cold and the dark of winter get you down; spend your indoor time playing Wintertime BINGO with the Longmont Public Library! Patrons will be able to pick up their BINGO cards from the Library or download the card at bit.ly/LibPrograms or bit.ly/LibKids. Completed BINGOs must be turned in no later than 5 pm on Sunday, Jan. 8 for kids and teens and no later than 8 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, for adults. During the timeframe, read books, watch movies, listen to audiobooks, check out Experience/Destination bags, or a combination of everything, and when you have a BINGO, turn in your card to the Reference Desk upstairs or at the Childern’s and Teens’ area desk and win prizes!

Downtown Winter Passport runs through Jan. 3
It’s not too late to win some of $1,000s in prizes for choosing to shop locally this season. Downtown Longmont’s Winter Passport program continues through Jan. 3, and downtown businesses have your last-minute gift needs covered! Winter Break Open Skate
Located in Roosevelt Park, the Longmont Ice Pavilion, 725 8th Ave., is a seasonal full service outdoor ice facility, offering public ice skating, hockey, skating lessons and private rentals through early March. Beginning Saturday, Dec. 24, extended public skating hours are offered during Winter Break. Visit longmontcolorado.gov/ice-pavilion for the daily schedule.
