Avoid the Scam! Verify City Workers
Sometimes City of Longmont workers have to come onto your property to get their work done, but how do you know they really work for the City? City employees always wear clothing with a City logo or emblem, and they usually drive vehicles that are clearly marked with City logos. City employees and contractors carry a City ID with a phone number on the back that you can call to verify their identity. Also, a City worker will never ask to be paid directly for any work and will not accept money from you. If you would like to verify that someone really works for the City of Longmont, call Public Works & Natural Resources at 303-651-8416 or Longmont Power & Communications at 303-651-8386.
