Holiday schedules for City facilities
Most City facilities will be closed today, Feb. 20, in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. Trash, recycling and compost will be collected one day later throughout the week. The Longmont Museum and Recreation facilities, including the Ice Pavilion in Roosevelt Park, will be open. Find schedules at the City website.

The Longmont Ice Pavilion, 725 8th Ave. has extended open skate hours from 11 am-5 pm today, Feb. 20, which is a SVVSD no-school day. Regular admission and skate rental fees apply. Coffee with Council this Saturday
Longmont City Council will host an in-person Coffee with Council from 9-10 am on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Ave. At this event, you can talk informally with council member Shiquita Yarbrough and Mayor Joan Peck on any topic of your choice. Songwriter Showcase at Museum
Join Longmont’s own Bonnie & Taylor Sims for an intimate evening of original music from emerging, up-and-coming, and established singer-songwriters from across the Front Range and beyond starting at 7 pm on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Longmont Museum. Featuring Megan Burtt, Danny Shafer, and Antonio Lopez. Admission is $18 general admission, $15 students/seniors, $12 Museum members. Longmont Library Gardening Fair
Get ready for the 2023 season by attending the second annual Longmont Library Gardening Fair from 2-4 pm on Sunday, Feb. 26 in the Library Meeting Rooms. Connect with local organizations and businesses to learn more about gardening, ask questions and start planning your 2023 gardening season! The Free Seed Library will also open during the fair. Climate Action Sunday: Water
From 1-4 pm on Sunday, Feb. 26, the Sustainability Office and the Longmont Museum invite you to the free “Our Water, Our Future” Climate Action event, held at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Bring the family and join Anima Arts for a children’s creative movement activity or join a discussion on the future of our water lead by local equity and conservation professionals. Stop by and meet local organizations who safeguard our water and learn practical solutions to conserve water in your community, your home and your business.
