Walk Through History at Sandstone Ranch
You’re invited to a guided tour inside and, weather permitting, outside the historic Coffin family home on Saturday, March 12, at the Sandstone Ranch Visitors & Learning Center, 3001 Sandstone Drive. Learn about 1800s homesteader Morse Coffin, about the major renovation to the house in the 1900s, and about all that Sandstone Ranch offers our community now. The house will be open from 10 am to 2 pm with guided tours at 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30. This program for all ages is free with a suggested donation of $4/person. Register at LongmontColorado.gov/rec or call 303-774-4692 by March 8 to reserve your place.
Snow Time Like the Present to Clean Your Meters
It’s been a snowier-than-usual winter, and that can double the time it takes to read the 68,000 electric and water meters around Longmont. Lend a hand by keeping the areas near your meters free of snow and ice, especially the “meter pit” in the yard, which can get easily covered over. And if you’d like some other ways to help out, visit LongmontColorado.gov/lpc.
Free Meals for Youth
Youth ages 18 and younger can enjoy a free supper from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at Children, Youth & Families, 1050 Lashley Street. This program is paid for through federally reimbursable funds and will continue through the school year. For more information call 303-651-8580.
