Discover Colorado’s Water Story
Did you know up to 85% of Colorado’s water accumulates west of the Continental Divide? Snow on our high peaks acts as a natural reservoir, storing water through winter until spring’s warmth melts it into streams and rivers. That’s why massive infrastructure—like tunnels and reservoirs—has been built to bring water to communities on the front range. These systems are vital, but they also put pressure on our natural environment. By conserving water, we can ease the strain and protect this essential resource. Learn more about Longmont’s part in the system, and how you can help conserve too at bit.ly/water-matters.
