Virtual Coffee with Council
Longmont City Council will host Coffee with Council from 9 to 10 am virtually on Saturday, Jan. 30. At this event, you can talk informally with at least two council members on any topic of your choice. Council Members Marcia Martin and Aren Rodriguez are scheduled to attend. Vaccine Now Available for Coloradans 70+
Coloradans who are 70 and older can now sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine through the state’s major healthcare providers:

“Happy Birthday Longmont” Special Event
To mark Longmont’s 150th anniversary of its founding, Longmont Museum’s Curator of History Erik Mason will delight you with favorite hometown memories and stories from Longmont’s rich and colorful history during a special event at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Feb. 4. Recreation Summer Child Care
Registration for the City of Longmont’s state-licensed Summer Child Care and Tween LOCO Care programs for children ages 5 (must have completed kindergarten) through 13 begins in February and is ongoing. Campers will enjoy engaging and fun, theme-based activities safely within current COVID guidelines in and around the St Vrain Memorial Building. Free Friday Afternoon Virtual Concert
Enjoy an afternoon of music live-streamed direct from the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium. Violist Matthew Dane (Opera Colorado, Boulder Piano Quartet) and flutist Christina Jennings (CU Boulder) present a highly diverse program of solos and duos from Baroque to contemporary starting at 2:30 pm on Friday, February 5. Jennings will feature a piece by new CU composition faculty, Annika Socolovsky; Dane will play both modern viola and the enigmatic 14-stringed viola d’amore. Virtual Art & Sip at the Longmont Museum
Making art not only feels good, it’s good for you. To make sure everyone can benefit from the transformative power of art in these trying times, the Longmont Museum is making their adult classes free this season. Enliven Midwinter’s Night with Storytellers
This time of year is generally known as the “dead of winter,” but it doesn’t stop the Longmont Library’s Spellbinder Storytellers from being lively! Tune in on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 6-7:30 pm, for “A Midwinter’s Night Storytelling” — engaging, fun stories for the whole family in the oral storytelling tradition. Shred Your Private Documents for Free|
Safely and securely recycle your private documents by bringing your boxed or bagged documents to be shredded at the Waste Diversion Center, 140 Martin St., on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 9 am-2 pm. This event is for residential documents only; no business materials will be accepted. Please bring identification and a copy of your most recent Longmont utility bill.
