Longmont City Council will host an in-person Coffee with Council from 9-10 am on Saturday, July 29, at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Mindful Looking @ Agricultural Heritage Center
Join the Denver Art Museum’s Molly Medakovich for a free event at 1 pm on Tuesday, July 18 as she invites us to slow down and spend time with a single work of art. Discover overlooked details, pose questions and explore ideas as we linger, look and connect with art and each other. Celebrate Nepali culture and heritage
The upcoming Nepali Jatra, a vibrant celebration of Nepali culture and heritage will be held from 1-5 pm on Sunday, July 30, at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. We invite the community to join in supporting and experiencing this remarkable cultural extravaganza. The event will feature an array of activities including an art exhibition and display, music performances and traditional costumes on display. Tech Class: Intro to PC Computing
Learn the Windows Operating System, keyboard shortcuts, folder basics, internet basics and more from 4:30-6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 25 at the Longmont Library, 409 4th Ave.! This free course is open to beginner to intermediate technology users; no registration required — just meet us in the Computer Lab on the second floor. Free Community Night: Legendary Ladies
Bring your picnic meal, chairs and blankets and enjoy the scenery from 5:30-6:30 pm, Tuesday, July 18 at the Sandstone Ranch Visitors Center, 3001 Sandstone Drive; then at 6:30 pm, travel back in time with the Legendary Ladies and hear the stories of real women who made a significant impact on the West. Magic Wand Workshop at Library
Join us to create and use your own magic wand and imagination games to help with bedtime (or any!) transition from 2-3 pm on Saturday, Aug. 5 at the Longmont Library. This free event is best for children ages 3-7 years old with their parent/caregiver. Susanne Benton, a preschool teacher and certified massage therapist, offers creative techniques and stories to help parents connect with their kids and relax into successful bedtimes. Kids’ film & free outdoor concert at the Museum
This summer the Longmont Museum hosts kid’s movies and free outdoor concerts. At 10 am on Tuesday, July 18 “Shrek” (2001, PG) will grace the Stewart Auditorium’s big screen at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Admission is $3/child. Then on Thursday, July 20, Hazel Miller & the Collective will bring blues, jazz, pop and Gospel to their free show in the Museum’s outdoor grassy courtyard from 7 to 8:30 pm. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics welcome. Alcohol and concessions available for sale (only alcohol purchased on site is allowed). National Night Out: Aug. 1
Longmont will celebrate National Night Out (NNO) from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes public safety, community partnerships, and camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring by hosting block parties, cookouts, lemonade and cookies, and other activities with emergency personnel.
