If It Leaves the Ground, It’s Illegal!
If your fireworks leave the ground, they’re illegal. Please allow Police and Fire to focus on priority calls for service, and be considerate of neighbors, veterans and pets. Do the right thing and do not set off illegal fireworks! For more information on local fireworks regulations visit LongmontColorado.gov and search “fireworks.”

Be Part of the Water-saving Solution
In semi-arid Colorado, it’s important that we do our part, however small, to conserve water. A FREE sprinkler consultation with Resource Central could help you save up to 5,000 gallons of water per year. Technicians will inspect your sprinkler system for issues that could be wasting water and provide a customized watering schedule to ensure that you’re watering as efficiently as possible while keeping your grass healthy. Call 303-999–3824 or visit ResourceCentral.org/Sprinklers to sign up.

Longmont’s Alpha Car Takes to the Streets
On July 1, Longmont Fire put in service its Alpha Car — known as Alpha 2120 — to handle the lower-priority medical calls for service throughout the city, allowing the bigger engines to remain in service for the more critical medical calls and save on wear and tear and fuel cost. Additionally, this unit will service as a backup for ambulance transport. This unit has been in the Fire Strategic Plan for 12 years and thanks the voter-approved Public Safety Tax Fund, it has finally become a reality.
