Coffee with Council on Saturday, June 25
Longmont City Council will host an in-person Coffee with Council from 9-10 am on Saturday, June 25, at Hearthstone at Hover Crossing (LHA), 1762 Cook Court. The Greenway Glow – Roger’s River Run 5k
Glow at the Roger’s River Run 5k! Join us at 7:45 pm on Friday, July 8, in your glow and party apparel, to run, walk or dance the 5k, all the way to the GLOW after-party! Registration ends at 1 pm on Thursday, July 7. Entry fees are $20-25 per person. Strollers are allowed. Volunteer for Rhythm on the River

River tubing on the St. Vrain Creek
Adventure West’s St. Vrain Creek location in Longmont offers walk-up or reservations for tube rentals each Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as temperatures and water flow allows. Reservations are required for the tube shuttle bundle. The rental stand is located at the 119th Street Trailhead, 9801 N. 119th St. For details and to make a reservation, visit adventurewestco.com.

Recreation passes available online
Spend less time in line and save more money. Purchase a 20-visit, 30-day, or three-month pass for Recreation Services online. Passes are good for admittance at the St. Vrain Memorial Building, the Longmont Recreation Center, Centennial Pool (indoors) and Sunset Pool (outdoors). Sign up for emergency reverse notification
If police or fire had to reach you in an emergency, could we? Anyone living within Longmont city limits that no longer has a landline in their home and wants to receive police and fire emergency reverse notifications must register. These communication devices may include, but are not limited to cell phones, VOIP (voice over internet protocol), email, etc. For registration and frequently asked questions, visit LongmontColorado.gov and search “reverse notification.”

Museum kids’ film & free outdoor concert
The Museum’s Kid’s Film Series and Summer Outdoor Concerts continue this week! Starting at 10 am on Tuesday, June 28, “The Secret Life of Pets 2” (2019, PG) will be shown on the big screen inside the Stewart Auditorium at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Admission is $3/child. Then, stop by the Museum from 6:30-8 pm on Thursday, June 30, for a songwriter showcase featuring Bonnie & Taylor Sims and singer-songwriters from across the Front Range! Hands-on science workshop for kids
Head to the Longmont Library, 409 Fourth Ave., for the Keep an ION Science series taught by teen scientists from local high schools. First through 4th-graders can drop-in on sessions every half hour between 1-2:30 pm on Saturdays, July 9-23, to do hands-on science experiments featuring bubbles, food, marine biology and more.
