Make “Trashion” in Library Online Program
The average American produces over 1,700 pounds of trash per year. The Library is asking residents to showcase other uses for some of that garbage with its online “Trashion Show” program, beginning Monday, June 29. In this all-ages program participants create stylish clothing and accessories from recycled materials such as bubble wrap, plastic and cardboard. If you need good, clean trash, pick up a bag of fashion trash at the curbside delivery station on the Library’s east side from 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday. Adults, teens, and children can work individually or in teams, then submit designs via email by July 13 for display on the Library’s social media pages. Find more information at bit.ly/LibPrograms#trashion.

If It Leaves the Ground, It’s Illegal!
If your fireworks leave the ground, they’re illegal. Please allow Police and Fire to focus on priority calls for service, and be considerate of neighbors, veterans and pets. Do the right thing and do not set off illegal fireworks! For more information on local fireworks regulations visit LongmontColorado.gov and search “fireworks.”
