The Peeps are Coming to a TV Near You
Library patrons are invited to create dioramas of their favorite literary scenes using marshmallow Peeps. Dioramas, along with completed entry forms can be delivered to the Library at 409 4th Avenue Thursday, March 30, through Thursday, April 6. Dioramas will be displayed in the Library lobby from April 7-13, and you’re encouraged to stop by and vote for your favorite. Winners will be announced Friday, April 14. Visit bit.ly/LibPrograms for an entry form and more information. Word of the program has spread, and this year the peeps contest is breaking into television! The Longmont librarians who run the program, along with some dioramas from past years, will appear on the CW’s local morning show, “DayBreak” on Wednesday, March 22. Tune in to Channel 2 around 7:45 am to see Josie and Claire talk about this uniquely engaging program, then find a shoebox, some marshmallow peeps, and join the fun!
