Water Rebate for Low-Income Households
The City provides a partial rebate of the previous year’s water charges for Longmont residents that qualify for LEAP and pay the City directly for their water bill. The rebate will appear as a credit on your City of Longmont utility bill if you qualify. Don’t know if you qualify for LEAP? The Low Income Energy Assistance Program is a federal program (administered by Boulder County) that helps low‐income families and individuals with their heating costs. Visit the Boulder County LEAP webpage or call 1‐866‐HEAT‐HELP. Applications will be accepted through April 15. Apply online at bit.ly/water-rebate, or email waterrebates@longmontcolorado.gov for more information.

It’s free and open to everyone; however, registration is required. To see the complete seminar schedule and to register, visit ConservationCenter.org/Water-Wise-Seminars. Enjoy the Skies, But Watch the Lines
Colorado’s windy and beautiful skies can be a lot of fun in the springtime, if you remember to stay safe. When flying kites or drones, make sure you follow all applicable laws, and always stay clear of the power lines – kite strings in particular can conduct electricity and endanger you! If a kite, drone, or any other object gets stuck in the lines, do NOT attempt to retrieve it yourself. Instead, call Longmont Power & Communications at 303-651-8386 to help you get it down. Happy flying!
City Streets Get a Spring Cleaning
Each spring, the City of Longmont conducts citywide street sweeping to remove dirt, debris and pollutants that build up during winter. The City sweeps over 350 centerline miles of streets and removes tons (literally!) of debris and contaminants that would otherwise pollute our air and rivers. Visit bit.ly/sweepinglongmont for more information on sweeping operations, which are scheduled for April through May, or call 303-651-8416.
