How Would You Allocate City Resources?
Imagine having $100 to invest in achieving the City’s Envision Longmont goals. Where would you spend that money? What services and programs are most important to you? Every year, the City Council faces the challenge of providing high quality municipal services at a reasonable cost. It is important for them to know how residents and business owners prioritize the services the City provides as laid out Envision Longmont, the City’s comprehensive plan. Learn more about Priority Based Budgeting and tell the City how you would spend $100; complete the online survey at bit.ly/longmontbudget. Or, complete and return the paper survey that will be included in your utility bill.

Would You Like to Serve Your Community?
Residents are invited to serve as official advisors to Longmont City Council on several boards and commissions. These advisory groups help City Council learn about and make decisions on a wide variety of issues that affect the safety, economy and quality of life of Longmont’s residents and businesses. Committee members research and discuss local issues and offer recommendations to City Council. Members generally spend a few hours a month preparing for and attending meetings. Applicants must be registered voters of Longmont for at least one year prior to being appointed and must reside inside Longmont city limits. Visit bit.ly/longmontapp for more information and to apply. The deadline is 5 pm on May 18. Call 303-651-8649 with questions.

Life Coaching for Young Adults
The free “Are You Ready to Launch?” life coaching series for older teens and those in their early- to mid-20s, helps young adults get a handle on their career plans, social life, and health so that they can launch their life into the orbit they desire. Meetings are from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on the first Monday of the month through May in the upstairs Unquiet Study Room at the Library, 409 4th Avenue. This month’s workshop on April 2 focuses on realistic tips for promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing while living on your own. Find more information at bit.ly/LibPrograms. No registration required.
