Greenway Maintenance Underway
As summer approaches, Natural Resources crews will be performing maintenance on open sections of greenways. Greenways maintain and enhance native habitats, conserve water, enrich residents’ enjoyment of district parks and open spaces, and offer alternative travel routes. The design and maintenance of greenways focus predominantly on increasing cover, removing non-native plants and noxious weeds, and managing wildlife, while maintaining trails for people. The City also lessens operating costs for mowing and improves the environment by reducing weeds and filtering storm water. To learn more visit bit.ly/greenwaymaintenance or call 303-651-8446.
