Some City Buildings to Open on June 1
On Monday, June 1, the City of Longmont will reopen the Civic Center (350 Kimbark Street), the Development Services Center (385 Kimbark Street), the Service Center (1100 S. Sherman Street) and Municipal Court (225 Kimbark Street) for limited service. Visitors should wear a face covering when in buildings and maintain a physical distance of at least six feet from others. Please limit group size to the greatest extent possible. If you can conduct your business online or by telephone, please continue to do so.

Many City Outdoor Amenities Now Open
The following City of Longmont amenities are open: parks; golf courses; tennis, pickleball, volleyball and basketball courts; disc golf courses; and wheels parks. Please comply with the regulations for use that are posted at each location. Parks amenities not listed, including playgrounds, shelters, picnic areas, and other areas amenable to public gatherings, remain closed. Waste Services Holiday Schedule
Trash, recycling and compost collection will not be provided on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Collection services will be provided one day late throughout the week. The Waste Diversion Center also will be closed for the holiday. For more info, visit bit.ly/collection-schedule.

Library to Offer Curbside Service
The Longmont Public Library at 409 4th Avenue will begin curbside service beginning Tuesday, May 26. Curbside delivery will be available from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday through Saturday. Volunteer Opportunities Available
The City of Longmont’s Parks, Open Space and Trails (POST) division has volunteer opportunities and an educational series on the horizon. Volunteers currently are needed to help with the Memorial Rose Garden at Roosevelt Park. Other programs are not far behind, and volunteers can get on the wait list for 2021 bird breeding and raptor opportunities. Those interested in the educational series can learn about botany, pollinators, wildlife, xeriscaping and more. Upgrade Your Sprinklers and Get Rebates
New this year, the City of Longmont is offering home irrigation rebates to help you use less water while keeping your yard looking great. Medicare Basics Offered Virtually in May and June
Medicare Basics monthly classes are now offered online by the Boulder County Area Agency on Aging Medicare Counselors. The classes provide unbiased, up-to-date information about Medicare enrollment, benefits, costs, what and how Medicare pays, choices under Medicare plans, how they work, and prescription drug coverage. Dates are Tuesday, May 26, 6 to 8 pm, online and Monday, June 15, 10 am to 12 pm, online. Call the Senior Center at 303-651-8411 to register and be prepared to provide your email address. Union Reservoir Season Passes On Sale
Longmont residents now may purchase season passes to Union Reservoir online. The passes are being sold through Recreation’s online activity registration system. Season passes are available for one or two vehicles per household, trailered boats, and watercraft. Due to public health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19, the swim beach, dog beach playground, shelter and fishing pier are all closed until further notice. Please take these closures into consideration before purchasing either a season or daily pass.
