Mental Health Community Conversations: Action Forum
Nearly 200 people participated in one of the community conversations on mental health that were held in March and April. The public is invited to attend an Action Forum from 4 to 6 pm on Monday, May 9, at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, to learn about the common themes and issues that emerged from these conversations and to help set the direction for our next steps as a community. Help Guide Longmont’s Future
What’s your passion … Preserving history? Cultural programs for residents? Smart planning and growth? There are several volunteer openings on boards and commissions that advise city council. Meet the Municipal Judge Candidates
The public is invited to a reception from 6:30 to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 10, to meet the three finalists for the position of municipal judge. The reception will be held in the Civic Center at 350 Kimbark Street. For more information call the City Manager’s Office at 303-651-8601.

Free Landfill Drop Day
The City of Longmont is offering residents an opportunity to take one level pickup load free of charge to the Front Range Landfill at 1830 Weld County Rd 5 in Erie from 6 am to 2 pm on Saturday, May 7. Loads must be covered and secured for transport; oversize loads and second loads will be billed accordingly. See City Projects and Programs at Open House
Plan to attend an open house between 5 and 7 pm on Monday, May 16, at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, to learn about several very important planning and construction projects in Longmont during 2016. They include NextLight broadband, Resilient St. Vrain, Sustainability Plan, Capital Improvement Program, Park Development & Renewals, and more! This event also kicks off National Public Works Week and will feature information on a variety of Public Works & Natural Resources services and programs. Nature Art Show and Sale
Enjoy the talents of local artists from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, May 7, at the historic Coffin family homestead at Sandstone Park, 3001 Sandstone Drive. Sales and Use Tax Seminar

A free seminar that will answer all your questions will be held from 10 am to noon on Wednesday, May 11, in the Finance Conference Room at the Civic Center, 350 Kimbark Street. Landlord Alliance: Housing and Mental Health
From 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, May 11, the Longmont Landlord Alliance will present a panel discussion on Housing and Mental Health focusing on how mental health issues can affect the landlord/tenant relationship.
