Veterans Day Holiday and Parade

Please join us as we celebrate Veterans Day, on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The annual Veterans Day Parade begins at Roosevelt Park at 11:11 am. The parade route will head east on 8th Ave, turn south on Main Street, west on 3rd Ave and north on Coffman back to Roosevelt Park. Recreation facilities will be open regular hours that day, but many City facilities will be closed. Find City holiday information online.

 

Better Hearing with Dr. D’Anne Rudden

Ever feel like you’re missing parts of the conversation—or hearing sounds no one else does? Meet audiologist Dr. D’Anne Rudden and learn how we process sound and how to navigate hearing loss and tinnitus. Leave with insights, tips, and confidence in your hearing journey. The KKK in CO: Screening & Conversation

From the Grand Dragon to known KKK members in the police, mayor’s, and governor’s offices, Colorado once had the second largest Ku Klux Klan membership in the United States. Discover the sordid history of the KKK in Colorado with a special screening of a Rocky Mountain PBS film and history lecture with historian Patty Limerick at the Longmont Museum Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 pm. Friday Concert: Pianist David Korevaar

Enjoy an afternoon of live music in the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium Friday, Nov. 14 at 2:30 pm. This solo piano recital celebrates the legacy of Ricardo Viñes (1875-1943) with works dedicated to and premiered by Viñes, Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy as well as composers of the period from France, Italy, Spain and Argentina. 50th Annual Longmont Turkey Trot

Gobble, gobble, gobble, GO! Join the Longmont Turkey Trot 50th anniversary race at 9 am on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Altona Middle School, 4600 Clover Basin Drive. Participants can walk or run a scenic 2-mile or 10k course or choose a wheelchair division. Register at any Recreation facility or online until noon on Thursday, Nov. 13. Questions? Thanksgiving Week Trash Collection News

The City of Longmont Waste Services’ collections will be one day early during the week of Thanksgiving. All bins should be out at the curb before 7 am one day earlier than your normal collection day and remain out until they are picked up.
