Keep What You Sweep
Fall street sweeping is underway and you can help. When raking leaves on your lawn or sidewalk, be sure you “keep what you sweep.” Whether you bag your leaves or compost them, the key is to keep them out of the street. It’s a violation of City code to sweep debris into the street, and it hinders the productivity of the street sweeping operation. Learn more about the sweeping program at LongmontColorado.gov/street-sweeping or call 303-651-8416. And remember, the City offers curbside collection of bagged leaves in November – find the schedule at LongmontColorado.gov/solidwaste.
