Community Forum on Marijuana
The City of Longmont will hold a community forum regarding marijuana home grow plant limitations at 10 am on Saturday, October 22, at the OUR Center, 220 Collyer Street, following Coffee with Council. City staff will provide information about the proposed regulations, and the public can provide feedback about possible limits on the number of plants allowed in Longmont homes. In addition, the City is conducting an online survey. Read more below.

Marijuana Survey
The City of Longmont is looking at options to regulate marijuana cultivation for personal use. Staff and city council members are interested in better understanding the needs of people currently growing in their homes and the needs of medical users regarding the number of plants they are growing to treat their medical condition(s). Share your feedback with the City by completing a short, anonymous survey at bit.ly/marijuana-survey. The deadline to complete the survey is 5 pm on Sunday, October 16.

Council Meeting delayed by 30 Minutes
The Longmont City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 25 will start at 7:30 pm so that Council and City staff members can attend the Regional Transportation District board of directors meeting in Denver.

Sweeping the Community
As the leaves begin to fall, City staff and contractors hit the streets in force to sweep them up. Keeping up with falling leaves all across Longmont is no small task. When sweeping or raking leaves on your lawn or sidewalk, be sure you “keep what you sweep.” Whether you bag your leaves or compost them, keep them out of the street. And don’t forget about the special, curbside collection of bagged leaves during November. Find out when we’ll be in your neighborhood at LongmontColorado.gov/solidwaste or call 303-651-8416.
