Fall Leaf Collection Begins First Week in November
Leaves will be collected at residences located north of 9th Avenue on November 1 – 5 and collection will occur for residences south of 9th Avenue on November 8 – 12. Read more at longmontcolorado.gov/Home/Components/News/News/11997/3.

Halloween Parade & Trick or Treat Street
Dress up in your Halloween costume, march down Coffman and Main streets, and visit Downtown-participating merchants afterward for Trick or Treat Street this Saturday, Oct. 30. Kids and adults of all ages can be a part of Longmont’s annual free costume foot parade. Parade line-up begins at 9:45 am (10 am start) at Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave. No registration is required; strollers or wagons are recommended for tiny feet. No motorized vehicles are allowed. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed, and no large animals please. In-person Storytimes Return to Library
The Longmont Public Library’s storytimes will be in-person starting Monday, Nov. 1, with Bilingual Storytime at 10 am. However, to keep everyone safe, registration is required for each storytime and limited to 20 people. Watch for our Facebook posts each Monday (for Bilingual Storytimes), Wednesday (for Baby Storytimes), and Friday (for Family Storytimes) at 9 am to get the link to register for the following week’s storytime. Serve on a City Board or Commission
Are you passionate about Longmont’s water? Our parks? Art in public places, the environment or planning and zoning? Whatever your interests are, you can make a difference by serving on the City’s boards and commissions. These groups advise City Council on current operations and long-term planning. They help make sure Longmont continues to be a great place to live, work and visit. Apply online at LongmontColorado.gov/board-application by 5 pm on Friday, Nov. 12. Terms begin in January 2022. In partnership with CU Boulder’s CEDaR center, the Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) wants your feedback in order to cater more effectively to the needs of Downtown Longmont’s visitors, residents, and businesses. Questions will cover one’s experience in Downtown Longmont, and will take roughly 5-10 minutes to complete. Now Hiring: Longmont Ice Pavilion Staff
Do you enjoy being outside, ice skating and/or playing hockey? Get paid for doing what you love! The Longmont Ice Pavilion in Roosevelt Park is now hiring seasonal staff for the 2021-22 season. We are looking for front desk staff, assistant hockey coaches, learn-to-skate instructors and skate guards. Seicento Baroque Ensemble at Museum
Seicento returns to the Museum’s Stewart Auditorium to celebrate their 10th anniversary with a special concert exploring the Italian intermedii or intermezzi of the late Renaissance starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7. Authors We Love: Amy Frykholm
Amy Frykholm will discuss her new book: “Wild Woman: A Footnote, the Desert, and My Quest for an Elusive Saint” during this in-person event from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, in the Library’s Meeting Rooms, 409 4th Ave. With a scholar’s eye and a mystic’s heart, Frykholm shares a look at Mary of Egypt, an elusive and dynamic figure from history, while offering insights into our own inner lives. Motus Theater: Justus Stories from the Frontlines of the Criminal Justice System
Join the Museum for a Thursday Night @ the Museum presentation starting at 7:15 pm on Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Stewart Auditorium. Formerly incarcerated leaders tell artfully crafted autobiographical monologues that expose the devastating impact of the criminal legal system and inspire action toward a vision of true justice. Performance features musical responses by jazz great Robert Johnson. Co-presented with the Longmont Community Justice Partnership and the Longmont Multicultural Action Committee. Art & Sip: Painting Fields of Flowers
